Hey! I’m Steph and I’m so glad you’re here!

The best part about life is that at any moment, you have the power to change it; to pivot, learn and grow, do more of this and less of that, whatever your heart desires. 


I first discovered yoga, and fitness classes when I was about 17 years old, going to the gym and trying to stay active with my gymnastics days being over. It wasn’t until 2018 that I started practicing more and enjoying the way it made me feel. Growing up as a gymnast and dancer, injuries were no stranger to me; I was also working with physiotherapists and chiropractors and it made me want to do the same kind of work when I grew up. I was going to study Kinesiology so I could work with athletes and help them recover from injury the way I had been helped countless times. But, I wasn’t very good at the science stuff and at the time, there were no arts-based Kin degrees – I was SOL. So, I switched gears…and switched them again…and again…

I ended up graduating with an advanced diploma in media production and in all honesty, those 3 years of education were the most challenging yet most rewarding in all the school I had done. That said, a part of me still felt disconnected, unfulfilled and lost. What was a girl to do? 


In 2019, I was working for the small business that had taken me on as an intern a year earlier. I loved my boss and there were some great perks to the job, but I didn’t love what I was doing. I wanted to be passionate about my work and I wasn’t, it was that simple. With my anxiety building, I had no idea where I was going career-wise and felt more off-course than ever, so I did what any reasonable person would do and asked for 2 weeks off work so that I could “do something just because I wanted to” and complete a Yoga Teacher Training program.

That training gave me a sense of renewal. For the first time in a while, I felt inspired, I felt a shift in the way I could move my body, and I felt motivated to build healthy habits that would let me live a life I truly loved.
